Revelation Museum

Linda Lee Zarley Stevens Day
presents more than 60 years of artwork.  The last 40 years were spent doing works from the Bible, and especially the last chapter of the Bible, which is the Book of Revelation.  Most of these works of art from the Bible are 2 feet by 3 feet.
This drawing-painting completed in 1975 was to be the Harlot of Babylon, but my lack of education brought me to make a different one which is much more correct with scripture.  I will present it later.  I call this therefore, "THE STRUGGLE WITH THE SERPENT."
Genesis 3:13 And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done?  And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
My MISSION is to present the viewer
THE BIBLE through art.
In the 1970's, I got an old book from downtown Seattle with photos of missions.  This is Santa Barbara Mission I believe.
(mission = a play on words)
I don't know which mission this is from.
The beginning of everything for us.
The next drawing/painting is Jesus coming to the Mount of Olives at the end of times.  Jerusalem will be surrounded by the armies of the world.
This NIV version of the Bible had this to say.
Zechariah 14 :6  On that day there will be no light, no cold or frost. Zechariah 14 :7 It will be a unique day, without daytime or nighttime - a day known to the Lord.

Zechariah 14 :2   I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it;  the city will get captured, the houses ransacked and the women raped.  Half of the city will go into exile,  but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city.
Zechariah 14 :3   Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights in the day of battle.
Zechariah 14 :4   On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, for it will extend to Azel.
Zechariah 14 :5   You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Juday.
Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.
His arrival at just the right time to help the people that He loves.  Later in Revelation we see the coming of Jesus with the saints from the heavens.
John 9:25
He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not:  one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see,
1 Thessalonians 4 :16
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,  with the voice of the archangel,  and with the trump of God:

and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1 Thessalonians 4:17  then we which are alive and
remain shall be caught up together with them in
the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air;   and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1 Thessaslonians 4:18  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
We will be with Christ in heaven in an instant event.  This will reveal his glory.   If you doubted, now you won't.  To be swooped up,  is to be willing to accept His son Jesus by faith.  Say Lord,  I believe that you are the son of God. Forgive my sins and I accept you as my Savior.  Need help?  Read the New Testament of the Bible and I pray that God will lead the debate.
Now to start the Book of Revelation.  Most verses will be from the King James version.
Rev.  1:3 says:   Blessed is he that readeth and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein:  for the time is at hand.
So sit back and relax for you will be blessed.

A picture is worth a thousand words.  I hope I help you understand a little better the Book of Revelation through these drawing/paintings.  Don't be afraid.  The doom and gloom is shown, but also the glory of God is revealed.
Jesus in the Seven Candlesticks
Revelation 1:13
And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
Revelation 1 :14  His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow;  and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
Revelation 1 :15  And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace;  and his voice as the sound of many waters.
Revelation 1 :16  And he had in his right hand seven stars:  and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword:  and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

Revelation 1 :17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead.

The Letters to the Churches
Please read Revelation 2 and 3.
When figuring out how to draw this, I remembered that in a marriage the man is as Jesus and the wife is as the church.  This is why the churches represented are women.  This is not to belittle women, but to see how all of us have these sins and positive abilities to move forward and get the rewards that God has in store for us.

The first woman on the left is Ephesus that lost her first love (got my red dress on).  If she overcomes she gets to eat of the tree of life.

Then the church of Smyrna.  The persecuted church will get the crown of life, if it overcomes.

Pergamos is the lenient church.  They must repent or He will fight them with the sword of his mouth.  If they overcome they will get to eat the hidden manna and receive a stone with a new name written on it that only they will get to see.

The compromising church is Thyatira and this one leads the pack in my drawing as our compromise is what really leads us astray.  If they overcome they will get power to rule over nations with a rod of iron.  They will also receive the morning star.

Now Sardis, the dead church.  (We are dead in our trespasses and sin.)  If they will overcome, they will be clothed in white raiment.

The church of Philadelphia is the obedient church and they will be made a pillar in the temple.

Then finally the blind and naked church of the Laodiceans.  These people are neither cold nor hot. These people need to buy gold tried in the fire and anoint their eyes with eyesalve.  (My opinion,  we have nothing to give God that he would want.  Our life is the gold.  Our trials will try us with fire.)  If they overcome they will be granted to sit with Him in His throne, even as He also overcame, and is set down with the Father in His throne.

In retrospect, only my opinion.  This is all of us as we walk this life.  We must always be on the alert to overcome.

We cannot do this on our own.  When we accept Jesus, He will help us overcome as long as we keep asking Him to help us.  It is easy to accept Him.  Just say it simply.  Jesus come into my heart and life.  Say I want to make it to Heaven to be with you.  Help me to overcome.
